What we do with your data
Last updated: May 2026
LetLoose helps you get out of the doomscroll and into the world β we recommend events and places based on your interests. This page explains what data we collect, what we do with it, and what we don't do.
What we collect
- Profile info you give us β display name, city, interests, lifestyle tags, hobby notes, budget, optional resume text. Used to tailor recommendations. Lives in our database.
- Activity within LetLoose β your searches, cart contents, saved items, thumbs up/down, generated plans. Used to remember your state across sessions and improve future picks.
- Browser storage β we use
localStorageto remember your cart, recent searches, and UI preferences on your device. This stays on your machine.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your data to advertisers or data brokers.
- We don't run third-party tracking pixels, ad networks, or cross-site tracking cookies.
- We don't share your individual profile or activity with other LetLoose users.
Third-party services we use
To deliver the product, we send specific data to these services:
- Anthropic (Claude) β your typed search intent, profile brief, and the candidate events/places, sent so Claude can rank and plan. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to this hop.
- Google Places, Foursquare, Yelp β place names and your city are sent to look up ratings, photos, and price tier. No personal info goes to these providers.
- Event source APIs (Eventbrite, Ticketmaster, SeatGeek, Meetup, Luma, local newsletters) β your city and search terms are sent to fetch event listings. No personal info.
- Vercel + Railway β hosting providers; standard request logs (IP, user agent) for security and debugging, retained per their policies.
